LEGAL ENGLISH STUDENTS

The program is comprised of students continuing on to the Orientation course as well as those who attend solely for the purpose of enhancing their knowledge of Anglo-American legal terms.

Students who attended Introduction to Legal English in past years have found it to be exceedingly helpful in adjusting to the legal vocabulary and materials used in the Orientation program. Moreover, students who have gone on to study at LL.M. programs in US law schools have reported that the course provided a valuable foundation for their studies.

Comments from students . . .

"I think, both programs I attended, Introduction to Legal English and Orientation in the US Legal System, were very useful. They provided me with valuable information about legal English and the foundations of American law. I strongly encourage foreigners who intend to enroll in an LL.M. program to take the ILI's summer courses."  -- Gustavo Binenbojm, State Attorney and Professor of Law, Brazil, currently attending an LL.M. program at Yale University
