| The
basic text for the Orientation program is Law
in the United States: Cases and Materials, by course
director, Professor Charles F. Abernathy.
Written in the casebook format typical of US law schools, it enables students to study both the substance of American law as well as to experience the unique method of case analysis used in American law schools. It will provide students with a comprehensive background source on American law and practice. In addition to the basic text, we will provide extensive additional materials relevant to the specific areas of practice covered by the course. These materials will present cases as well as forms and examples useful to practicing lawyers.
