"Reference
to the Digest has been an invaluable asset in my work for over
35 years. The compillation brings pertinent information to the
practitioner that is often next to impossible to locate elsewhere.
No international law library is adequate without it."
Davis Robinson
Former Legal Adviser to the US Department of State
Retired Partner, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & McRae
The International Law Institute is pleased to announce the publication of a long-awaited, cumulative edition of the Digest, a two-volume set covering the years 1991-1999, filling a gap during which the Digest wasn't published.
Prepared in cooperation with the Legal Adviser's Office of the U.S. Department of State, this new edition, like each of the regular annual editions of the Digest, is organized into chapters devoted to timely and important subjects, such as:
- The U.N. Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment
- The United State's responses to acts of international terrorism, such as the bombing
- of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland
- Developments in the law of sovereign immunity
- The use of force in the territory of the Former Yugoslavia and in Haiti
- The establishment of an International Criminal Court]
As an added feature, this new cumulative edition includes, for no extra charge, a CD version for both volumes, for the convenience of users who prefer to work on their computers.
The two-volume edition has 2499 pages, and is priced at $240.00
